After surviving a miserable, long, hot summer filled with bed bugs, oral surgery and a sketch revue about 9-11, Adrienne Dawes, playwright, decided to further isolate herself by applying to graduate school for next fall. For the past two months Adrienne has sequestered herself away in extreme Virgo hermit fashion to complete her screenplay sample. Without an active Facebook profile (effectively “off the social media grid”) she hasn’t seen friends or family in weeks. Still 30 pages away (plus subsequent rewrites/proof), Adrienne discovered just this week that she still has two more essays to write, a monologue to memorize/film and everything is due December 1st.
